Raymond, you have a great collection! Congrat! Your 1st pattern Abteilungsfhrer shoulder board is wonderful! IMHO 2nd pattern BZP colar patches (MVC-016S.JPG) is for ranks BZP-Anwrter - BZP-Gruppenfhrer. MVC-024S.JPG (2nd pattern with silber cord is for ranks BZP-Unterzugfhrer - BZP-Oberzugfhrer. ON photo (MVC-018S.JPG) are 1st pattern rank insignia (Anwrter) with (probably) 2nd pattern rmelabzeichen & cap devices -must be taken after 1936 to 1938, I thing. I'm not very good in RB - so I don't know pay grades of RB. It is very little sources about BZP, most of my knowledges are from great David Bear's site (David H. Kern, Ph.D.)... Could You tell me color of band of Your fieldgray visor? Piping is black, but the color of band is not clear (from my screen)...

Thank you gentlemen, I'm glad you enjoyed my small addition to this thread. I'm sure there is a collector who has an amazing collection out there just waiting to share with us. Jiri, thanks for the information.I do have some of the pay groups for the shoulder boards but it's not complete and I'm not completely understanding how everything fits together. This is one organization that needs a reference book ASAP. The band on the visor is a slightly darker field gray. I've tried to photograph it but the difference is to slight to see in a photo. Do you have a link to David Bear's site?

Jiri, yes the gold colored flgerad is smaller. It measures, wingtip to wingtip 18.5mm, height of the wheel 6mm. The silver flgerad measures 24mm by 8mm. I had no idea what flgerad meant so I looked it up. Thanks I learned a new word today .

A great thread and very informative to all of us. We've lost some many threads in the past and it is a real shame. I don't know why, with today's technology, that we can't even find a way to keep those thread permanent but again, I'm no computer wizard.

Hello all,
I can certainly pin this thread but that will unfortunately not protect it from magically disappearing. It seems that the system being used purges threads after they are of a certain age and if there is no activity for some unknown period of time. It seems to be a characteristic of the hosting service which the moderators have absolutely no control over.
The only way to keep a thread is to every so often post something to it, and I cant even guarantee that will work after they are some unknown number of years old.
Sorry, nobody seems to know what the formula is, or how to stop it from happening.
Regards, W.Unland

At a small show this last Sunday , I found these 2 Imperial Railroad collar tab insignia that must be considered the forerunner for the design of the Bahnschutz insignia .
