Can someone plz give me some information about this particular dagger? Also ive noticed on the scabbard right above the front rivet it looks as if it says "germany" but the g, and the y arent very visible. Any ideas as to why thats there?

While the pic is blury, notice how wide and flat the reverse rivets are. That alone is indicative of a reproduction and cause for further examination. without better pics there isn't alot to be said. Russ

The knife looks like a repro with an original scabbard. As Ian pointed out the condition of the scabbard doesn't match the knife.

How can you tell that it doesnt match the scabbard? Also, I think the scabbard might be repro to; right above the front rivet there a little stamp in the metal that says "ERMAN" but if you look closely it says "ERMANY" Im taking it its germany, but the G is covered by black paint. Its weird cause on the dagger the motto isnt stamped its etched, and the scabbards magnetic. Any other ways to tell repro or not?

You definately need to post some clearer, and closer pics.

Yes I agree with Ruski, must have better pictures to ascertain anything about this dagger. And yes if it has Germany on it, it surely would not be in this daggers favor as the stamp germany was marked for export purposes after WWII. But need clear pictures!!

HJ knives are one of those that has been reproduced so much (and so well) that I never purchase from an unknown seller (but then I have only purchased one...)If you are a beginner like I am, I would suggest heeding the warnings of those more experienced and sticking with a WELL known seller. Just my opinion.
