Here is another hand-painted example. This is an ET64 which displays a rather shallow transition from the visor to the skirt yet also features a hard break from the dome to the skirt at the rear of the helmet. This one has had the three pad pillows removed as well.

Oops. Sorry to interrupt the flow of your Grimminger items, Robert. Nice stuff indeed. Did they ever come across any of his uniform items? Later in the pre-war period he wore a black SS M35 helmet and during the war, a feldgrau example.

I was thinking that perhaps one of our members could start a thread and show all the different types of WW1 era shells based on the different manufacturers. A fellow like Ken N. immediately comes to mind. He has a large amount of surplus shells. What say you, Ken?
