Gents,
What would one of these units be worth in tiptop shape with an original frog? Rough work but great shape. I'd like to get a fair price for it is all.
Thanks and regards!

Bill,
This is not a conversion of the Austrian M95 bayonet for the Steyr but fits the Yugoslav Mauser instead. They were imported into the US with the glut of Yugo Mauser reworks. The frog is not the correct one but looks to be a German frog. These bayonets were newly made postwar. I sold a minty one with matching numbers (no frog) at SOS for $25 if that helps you on price.

Gentlemen,
Thank you for all your help.
Ray, yes, here's a shot of the maker's mark.
Andy, the frog is marked something close to this:
J.DE VAHK JR. 41 ADAM
What do you make of the leather stamping?
Once again guys, thanks.
Bill

The maker of the frog is J. de Valk from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It was made for the German army in 1941 in Holland during the German occupation. "AŽdam" is an abbreviation for Amsterdam. I have seen this maker before. The "Dutch made German" frog is more interesting to a collector than the Yugoslavian M1948 bayonet.
