Hi, I have a W.R. Kirschbaum Solingen made s71 bayonet that has no year of manufacture or royal cypher on the spine - it appears to have been professionally machined off. Also, instead of a regimental number on the crosspiece there is a 19th (Saxon) Armee Korp depot mark (B.A.XIX.13.)(pictured).
Can anyone advise if this is a 1913 refit?
The scabbard is marked 53.R.R.15.49 presumably for the recruiting depot (Company 15) of the 53rd (Westphalian) Reserve Infantry Regiment of the VII Armee Korps.
Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks
