Is it possible to connect a name to a serial number found on an SA dagger?
Thanks

The best current opinion about these numbers is that they are locally issued roster numbers rather than something issued and recorded by the top SA HQ. If the guy moved to a new area, he got a new number.

It seems obvious that a few areas required the number to stamped on the dagger and most did not.

One of our members has paid for some research in this area and has promised to post a link to the resulting paper.

Hope this helps,
Dave
