Following Johnny's recent enquiry , I now offer this for discussion. It looks like the rare one in Johnsons book that shows as double the value of a Luftwaffe sword ! Did this pattern , if it is a firemans, carry over into the TR period ? I am going to offer this in the Bazaar after discussion so an idea on value would be appreciated please.

Yorkshireman,

Yes, you have a Feuerwehr Officer sword. It does appear to have a generic etch rather than the FW specific blade etch that has ladders, hoses, hooks, etc. I don't think these sword command double what a Luftwaffe Officer sword gets though. I would think less than a LW sword since there is less interest and demand for these swords.

Thanks for that Orpo, I couldnt see it at double either, no matter what it said in the book. I guessed at about 600 ?
