Has anyone made a definitive study (if it can even be done) of what the numbers mean on these lufts? I have a Tiger luft with the numbers etched on the blade and upper scabbard fitting. Thanks,Ron

Ron, to the best of my knowledge these are just property numbers. It is my understanding that some pieces were owned by the military rather than individuals. Held in stores & loaned out. Some were stamped & others electrically engraved with one of those basic tools. I have examples of both. There are other numbers which might possibly have been stamped at the factory because I have seen two gebruder heller models that both had the same number on them. Nice dagger by the way
War is when your government tells you who the enemy is. Revolution is when you figure it out for yourself.

Hello landser Thank you. Here is some more of it. The size limit of the pics make getting a good one difficult. Ron
