Good question but I'm not sure if this would be an easy one to narrow down to a specific list of certain mfg. Lets see what our members can come up with.

A question on the LDO numbers...I have recently seen a number of"minty" and cased pieces for sale marked "L15" without the slash...if this were an EK, I would suspect a FLOCH... is this correct on a KVK 1st class? Regards, Duane

L15 marked Floch yes, but I think there are orignial maked L15 EK 1's, but rare. Not 100% sure about the KVK marked L15, most people think Floch and won't touch them.

About two years ago Gordon Williamson said he was working on a new book about the KVK's, I haven't heard when it's going to be completed.

Thanks for the info Jamie. I do not see why a maker would leave the / out of their mark on one award and have it on another...so I will continue to avoid the L15 mark on any item. Always good to get a 2nd opinion though! Regards, Duane

I was speaking with Gordon today & asked him, this was his reply: "The book was finished a few months back and sent off to the publisher (Bender). No cross to show for this example but I do have a KVK 1st class w. swds. case, marked to Deschler & Sohn Munchen.
That would be 1 or L/10.

Joe I have a KVK without swords that's a Deschler, I think.
*By the way, the L/18 I posted is vaulted, any others posted vaulted ?

I know being unmarked it is no help to the list, however it is well made and the hinge, pin and catch resemble Don's example, thought it might be usefull to post it.

The Mm. the L15 always had the oval plate on the hinge. Thats something Souval never did
