Peter nailed it, it is a 1891 pattern Baden Officer helmet with nice Tall spike! Would love to see the liner!
This one looks real good, and just needs a good cleaning.

Bavaria (this is on a Tin ersatz helmet). The Bavarian ersatz tend to be among the most common.
