Here are some pics I took of some 1/16 scale german vehicles I scratch built some years ago. 1st is a PzIII, 2nd is of a scout car, figures, and a kubelwagon, 3rd is of the scout car, 4th is of the scout car again. Some of the figures are modified Verlinden figures

My latest scratch built PzIII 1/16th scale

Here are pics of a 1 to 1 scale model Torn Fu.d2 radio unit and battery unit I built for re-enacting. I have a hidden tape mechanizm inside coupled to an amplifier

Here is a pic of a resin German egg grenade that I molded and poured for use in re-enacting

Well it is good to have the item say like the scout car in say 1/35 scale un-built then with vernier calipers start measureing then figure out the multiplication factor for instance Xx35 giving you the full real to life size then divide that 16 this gives you the 1/16th size now divide the the 1/16 size by the 1/35 size will give you the multiplier number now every measurement you get on the 1/35 scale part you just multiply it by the factor to get the 1/16th size which comes out to a factor of 2.1875

Excellent way of determining measurements. I'll give it a try, thanks.

Gee Mr. Schmidt, with all that communications gear you might be interested in a very hard to find etched dress bayonet I'll be getting in a few days.

Excellent job. I am always amazed by those of you who build these from scratch. Truly and art form. Me, lacking the skills and certainly patience for a project that meticulous, opt to purchase pre-fab toy models, built by 21st centuly toys. Pre-painted, pre made, just snap 'em together and they are ready for me to play with. I still havn't completely grown up I guess.
