I also like to 'collect' old postcards of the area I live in.Here is one of the N.Y.C. Police Recreation Centre,where I used to work.

I like postcards too. I collected stamps when I was a kid but sold them off to buy military stuff back in the 1960s.
I still pick up old chromo-litho postcards of police themes though. I am a retired policeman so they interest me. When did you work at the Police Recreation Center? Looks like an old card.
Here is a nice German Kn�tel uniform card for the Feuerwehr. This is one of a series. I will have to scan some others.

This is the High School in Wilmington from the same era. It was torn down, and the land is now a park. The stone archway was left on the ground as a planter or something. Too bad they tore it down, it looks like Hogwarts or something.

Last one is the Library, built in 1907 by the same company that built our house. The HS can be seen in the background. I think having some local history is neat, makes interesting research..
