I managed to get a couple of small drops of s'glue (cyanoacrylic) on an AK garment; it's color is that special olive/green - item is unissued and prev. in a warehouse.

I tried a goop that includes acetone and it got some out, but the cotton twill is still a bit "stiff" tho softened up. Also, it lightened the area.

I'd considered dyeing the item but 1) it's expensive, 2) the light areas wd. still be there, and 3) could alter the original color - which is obviously undesireable.

So .... I want to bring the color back and am considering a) Marvy Pens' felt-tip markers, Crayola Fabric Crayons, and Sharpie pens.

Any suggestions?

A word to the wise: ALWAYS for small areas squeeze only a little glue out onto a Q-tip or wooden match etc. rather than from the glue applicator!!

Thanks!

They do make a solvent for this type glue. Check at a hardware store or online. I have a bottle of it and it does come in handy.

I would not try to dye or recolor the area....or you will likely make it worse. In the future if you get any CA on a garment take a pair of pliers(doesnt have to be needle nose)and gently crush up the hardened area of glue on the garment. As you crush up the hard glue spot....brush off the loose pieces of glue with a soft bristle brush. You may still have a blemish area...but it isnt as bad as bleached out spot.
