spencer v, Honor gift of the district Teltow. Research the coat of arms in the center part of the plate just to make sure and tell us what district, city, town or county this is from. Can you provide a picture of the back. Thanks.

Hi Kris, Your right, that's why I asked him to do a little research. It could be a town, city or a county within the district of Teltow.
spencer, Would you mind taking a close up picture of the castle door. Thanks.

spencer v, My best guess is that this might be the "Rotes Rathaus"(Red City Hall)depicted on your plate. Although not that similar, depending on how you look at it I suppose..Which is located in East Berlin, near Alexander Platz, former DDR. I believe this was part of the district of Teltow? Whether this is an old coat of the district or not, I don't know. Again research would be in order. When you get a chance could you post a picture of the back. Thank you.

Hey Guys
I know this is an old post, but I finally sealed the deal on this plate. Photos of the back and front are posted. If there is any more info on this one that would be great. Thanks.

The KPM trademark indicates the Royal Porcelain Works in Berlin. They produced fine quality porcelain. Have you located the city within Kreis Teltow?

That plate can be repaired perfectly. I have used this artist in the past and she usually has a small Rosenthal piece that is missing a small notch or has a chip. www.TindellsRestorationSchools.comThe studio is right here near Nashville and I have been extremely pleased with her craftmanship. Mark

spencer v,
Your plate has a red eagle and a blue breast shield with a golden sceptre. This represents the Bundeslnd (State) of Brandenburg.
Over the centuries, the arms of Brandenburg have varied, but the version that's on your plate dates to the late 1800s and early 1900s.
The current arms of Brandenburg has a red eagle with outstretched wings and no breast shield/sceptre (removed after WWII).
Teltow is located in Brandenburg. Perhaps the building on your plate is this bridge in Teltow:

I meant to say the bridge is in Berlin. It's the Oberbaumbrcke.
