With oakleaves - well over $5000.

My old Detlev guide has them at 4000 Euro in 1999. There were only a couple hundred awarded - mostly to people like Albert Speer. Most were gilt silver and so marked.

The simple gold HJ badge (no oakleaves) is $150-$200, but this is supposed to be the special honour version.

There two forms, the gold constructed and the silver guilt. Both are of the extreem rarity.30,000 Euros is a price that they command. Offers have been made in excess of this for known originals. The dress copy is also very rare, not well made in zink. But these change hands at the 5000 Euro mark. This link might be of interest.

That sounds more like it. I knew it was well over $5K, but wasn't sure how much over. 30K Euro I can well believe.

Thanks for the info Chris, I probably will never own one of these badges but learning something new is the important thing.

Wow,, big $.. Well they are around. I see one or 2 at every SOS,,maybe they are fakes. I would bet that even if authentic you could get it for way less than $5K... If anyone wants send me your cell number and I'll check at the SOS,,if its a good one I'd be more than happy to bring it back for you..

Looking for years and have never seen an original yet (maybe Steve Wolf might have had one in his case, but that's it for me).
