Just walked in last night. its hard not to jump up & down when stuff like this comes in. At first I thought Italy, but there are greens and reds in there too. Maybe he just got around. Chinstrap dated 1941.

As we always say, isn't it strange how the real ones need no debate whatsoever? Great helmet, Jerry. This is the kind of wear and patina the faker-scum; oops sorry...the "reenactor helmet-artistes" in our midst will never duplicate.

Cheers,

Darryl

Very nice and desirable camo helmet indeed. My experience is that the so called "tropical camos" incorporating tan colors, are encountered from all fronts. I have several "tropical" camos originating from Norway, which are all helmets I bought directly from the families that took them in 1945. Pinpointing exactly where a helmet came from solely based on the paint colors is an extremely difficult if not impossible task in my opinion.
