Hi guys,
I just acquired this Luft helmet over the weekend at a local gunshow.It has an ink stamp on the inside of the dome with a date of 1936(?) and a unit mark on the inside of the liner.The helmet rim is marked Q64.I don't know the intricacies of collecting these things but I couldn't see anything flagrantly phony.Now for the burning question..is it real? Also what would be an approx. value? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Great helmet, you should be very happy with it.
Nice early helmets in that condition are hard to get today.
War is when your government tells you who the enemy is.
