Here is a Forester that I just got out of the woodwork from a WWII veteran that is unusual. Ivory gripped Senior with thick blade and lightly etched, but has name in the floral work and it is either the etcher or the manufacturer. Has anyone ever seen this before now? Solid brass hilt with nice leather scabbard with enhanced lower fitting.

One of the names ends in earho, but I can't make out the first couple of letters. The other name on the other side of the etching appears 5 letters long, but I can't figure it out. Cutlass appears to be rather old, but I am not an expert on these, so maybe someone else can ID this beauty.

I'll take a stab at it.... I think it could be the name of the person or name of firm... It could be the name of the person who made the etching plate at the company were the dagger was made, Or maybe the name of the subcontractor????? Just a thought, as the name is hidden pretty well in the etch.... Have seen this in paintings and prints were the artist (hides his name in the work)
