Is it common to find an NSFK with all those stampings on them? I always thought that the DLV Pilots dags had them but not so common on the NSFK ....ordnance and waffenampt also on throat B4 and 250.Ordnance is on x grd and other end the K, incarus winged man on throat . Any real significance to these as far as collectability? Thanks all, Tiep

Tiep,

I would find such stampings to make a piece more collectible but I don't know if that would be the case for all collectors. I believe inventory numbers on DLV/NSFK daggers are scarce at the least although that said, I have seen such daggers with both early DLV & later NSFK unit markings. The condition of yours looks nice so it would certainly be something I'd covet. Would you know of one up for grabs? Smile

The more stamps the better in my opinion! Cool
It is one of the "perks" of these daggers.
Usually, I have noticed the most stampings on the earlier pieces (NSFK).
I also have noticed that certain makers (Gebruder Heller comes to mind) tend to have more stamps than other makers. This may just be a coincidence because I know that many of the stamps were added "after market" and were not performed by the manufacturer, but it seems to still hold true... over all... which is curious... Confused Wink
NICE knife!
Congrats! Big Grin
Johnny.
