What a great DAK helmet. Yes, one should be in every serious collection.

Hey Cody
I am not really sure what that stain is. I have seen the same type of staining on a lot of trops. I think it has something to do with a foreign matter on parts of the surface when its painted. The painted surface reacts to the heat, sort of a carmel like look. I have a M35 with the same look.
I think that M40 you purchased from me had this slight effect.

Congrats Matt,
A DAK-helmet which is hard to find. This one would upgrade any helmet-collection... even yours I guess. Hidden decal and a name as bonus as well.
regards,
regards,
Thijs

"Ok Now I am asking myself why in the hell did I sell that helmet........." You were in a state of duress. No doubt lust for some other item was affecting your judgement. Cody

Matt Very nice helmet. I think the red staining is from ironoxide Which can be found with natural ocher.
