Yes, I know that this is a post war creation (probably just after the war) and, like the Field Day daggers, was created as souvenirs for the many foreign armies that were stationed in Germany after the war.
But, again like the Field Day Luft, I think that it is very collectible and a nice supplement to a Luft collection.
So, here is mine. It is a shorter blade than on a regular Luft2, has many of the same fittings, but with a leather scabbard. The blade looks co**** compared to the prewar production.
The obverse of the dagger:

The Reverse (looks like the automatic censor on this site took out the portion of the word for a British synonym for butt, the word was the opposite of smooth):
Always looking for Eickhorns and etched bayonets.

The trade mark on the obverse of the blade.. its says 1939, but we know that it was 1946+ in actuality:
Always looking for Eickhorns and etched bayonets.

And, on the reverse, for once seeing the word 'germany' is absolutely correct:
Always looking for Eickhorns and etched bayonets.

Finally, the tip and showing the tip of the scabbard with a metal fitting.
I hope you like it.

Wartime parts, post war production. Very collectible. I don't think a Luft collection is complete without one. I am curios as to how long they were produced and what makers were able to put the daggers together.

The only thing I could find on the maker was a reference in Fisher's Maker Trademarks that says that B&A is Bolt & Anschutz, Solingen.
They assembled SAs, Armies and Luft2s from a mixture of 'original' and post war made parts.
I have seen SAs and Luft2s for sale in the recent past, but not armies.
Maybe, someone could add to this?

From what I recall these were advertised and freely available in the 50's to the early 60's. I don't know if they were available with the leather scabbards back in the 40's tho... I've had a few of these, sometimes with mixed parts like a navy crossguard, army grip and luft pommel, they are certainly interesting in their own right.

Don't know when the ad ran but your clues are - 3% sales tax, Pasadena 1 instead of a zip code and the state was Calif not CA... 1950's ? to early 1960's ?

John, from what I recall it was in the 50's. The ad was scanned by another GDC member, can't remember who...
The ones I've owned always had plastic grips, never Trolon or celluloid.

Any idea of why these B+A daggers almost always have white grips?

I have one as well, similar scabbard, blade marked Germany, but my handle is just the shaped wood with no outer shell. Nice to see how they were formed.

Here is an army model, blade is marked Made in Germany PIC. Swastika/wreath wasn't broken off but professionally cut off, dagger even has a black pebble grain leather blade washer. Any idea as to value of these? Enjoy MAZZ
