here for you viewing is an ss honor ring award document to ss untersturmfuhrer HANS KMENT. he was a physician who had ww1 experience as an oberleutnant, and saw combat in the kradschutzen regiment of DAS REICH. i am still gathering info on this officer, but as of now i have his ww1 list of decorations, ww2 awards as of 1941, his wifes name, childrens birth dates, and his ss number, birth date, etc. from the national archives. also with the grouping is the capture document filled out to a US major. i still dont know if he survived the war however, as the documentation in dc stops in 1941. the document for the ring is in 1944, so he was still in the picture at that point in time.

as far as his ww2 awards, he had the old fighters chevron, the yule candle holder, and the ss ring. i have yet to find any further data entries later than 1941, except for the date of jan.44 for his honor ring. he had ww1 black wound badge, along with 5 or 6 imperial austrian, and hungarian awards, along with the hindenburg cross. if anyone else has any access to later info(ranklists, awards, etc, i would be most grateful.) regards,,mike

mike, this is a wonderful conditioned (non of the usual binder holes!) obviously (what I can see from the pics) original TK-Ring doc. It also is (obviously) original signed by H.H. Due to the fonts used the doc seems to be of the lastest variant. Does it have any form numbers in the left lower corner? does it have a water mark when holding against light? Congratulations, these docs are much much more rarer than the rings itself. Regards,

wotan, no numbers in the lower left corner, and i dont see a water mark when holding it up to light, just an almost, i would describe it as a fabric like appearance, to the paper when the light is going through it. this came from gailen david a while ago(purchased directly from gailen) regards,,mike
