Guys,

I wasn't really lucky at the SOS show, since I couldn't find any of the 3 daggers that I was searching for. Frown
However, I did find what I think could be the nicest SA dagger at the show.
I've must have seen at least 100 SA's and none were close to this one.
This one just felt on my laps when I first came in on late thursday afternoon.
The condition is simply "pristine" and would be rated as Mint.
The blade is mint, the handle has a gorgeous light brown color to it and best of all, full lacquer on the scabbard, with no hits on the ball and screws unturned. Cool
What I can say, except that it is the finest SA that I have ever owned. Razz

You weren't exaggerating when you told me about that one! Wow! My offer still stands by the way. I'll buy it from you for what you paid for it! Hell, I'd even up it by $50 Razz

Thank you guys ! Smile
Paul, I couldn't find one "near mint" RLB EM.
Must have seen a dozen of them but they were all in E+ to E++ condition.
As for the others, Funeral Luft and Railway Leader 1st model...........none existant. Confused

Just came back from Louisville.

Congratulations with that fantastic SA find, Pat!

I did not see that one at the show, though I was there since Thursday 12 30 PM.

I would leave it without tag and bag, it looks perfect as it is!

Greetings,

Herman

You seem to attract mint SA daggers like a magnet Pat.

Absolutely pristine example. Cool

Well: I for one am watching Pats acquisitions with interest. In a few more years I think we'll have a good excuse to invade Canada. I'm forming a group called the Arizona Raiders and,in addition to the "spoils of war", we're going for your Molson too!! Roll Eyes Wink

Pat, I got home and went crazy trying to find out if I had that maker. I do and it is a nice one as well. I hope one day you can visit Nashville, bring a big bag! (And a bunch of bucks and beer!)

That one you got is a stone beauty! I didn't even see it and I got 9 really nice SA's at the SOS. Even a Bismark!

Bob,
Bought it from a guy who had a table at the show and that was selling his whole collection, in order to finance some franchise project.
Would've paid at least a 1000$ for this is one, if it would've came from a big dealer name.
Fortunately, I paid just half that value for it and YES, there are still some great deals at the SOS show. I've seen SS EM's and Chained SS being bought from fellow collectors, at 30% to 40% off their normal retail prices.
Where do you think dealers are getting their daggers from ? Roll Eyes
You just have to be there, at the right place and with a bit of luck, and voila !
