after a lot of stress and worry i will be meeting this dealer saturday and returning 5 helmets that i purchased from him.i have sent dave the details of this dealer who has forewarded these details to ken who has been the unwitting victim of this scam.
once i have been refunded by this(dealer) i will be releasing his details on this forum in the hope that no_body else finds themself in this unfortunate situation.
i wish to thank the members on this forum that stuck by me even though they dont know me from adam.
thankyou graham

Good for you Graham. This deed will cement your reputation here for ever more. I sympathize with your situation and hope that all works out for you in the end. You will find a lot of support and knowledge here on the forum. All you need do is ask. Cheers, Ryan

I agree. I would like to see pictures of those helmets, freshly taken, with an identifying object. If you only have folding money and don't own a TV, then a knife and fork will do just as well.

i am a decent law abiding citizen and will not be judged by anyone. i have stated all the facts and hidden nothing if this is not good enough then nads to it.
some people just seem to enjoy a confrontation. once i have sorted out this problem and i have posted the details of this dealer that is the end of it.
i am not a criminal and i will not be forced to justify myself to anyone.if you cant accept this then so be it Mad

Unless there is something that I am missing Dave and Rob if Graham has supplied all of the info to Ken that was requested of him why is he still being treated with suspicion? cheers, Ryan

Ryan, I think Dave has a very good point. Based upon Graham's recents posts there may be some doubt that he actually have the helmets in question. In order to clear his name and give him the opportunity to completely clear his name, Dave is asking him some very simple questions which should not be a problem for him provided he has been telling the truth.

Keep in mind that posting other people images is a very serious matter, and I think I speak for all of us when I say that we all would like to see Graham come out of this with Flying Colors.

Graham,
I am inclined to believe you and understand your feelings in this matter. However, please understand that this hobby is somewhat "self policing" and we have had several unfortunate incidents of well known dealers who were caught out trying to pull a fast one. Please just make a photo that is obviously yours and that will establish your bona fides. Let's put this matter to rest so that you can continue to enjoy the confidence of the collecting fraternity.
Best wishes,
Rev. Mike

No information has been supplied to me. My e-mail to Graham remains unanswered.

Hi I guess that this is proof enough! Graham stated that he sent Ken the info in regards to the dealer. Then he gets indignant! Just like a person reacts when caught with their hand in the cookie jar. Ban him and move on. Enough of this dribble already! cheers, Ryan Mad

Cool down guys. Graham may not be able to provide the photos immediately. I know from my point of view that I have a life outside of this forum, and taking photos and putting them on this forum has to fit into ones busy life. While this is a serious matter, we should give him a few days to clear his name. Let us hope he is able to do so.

I also think we should leave it up to Dave to decide when enough is enough.

Erik

Graham sent me the name of the dealer, but asked me to say nothing until he could negotiate a return of the helmets.

I still want to see the pictures that Rob Sutton asked for and that I seconded.

...It seems simple enough. Graham could either be a good asset to the forum (who I would openly welcome), or someone we don't want around. I'd like to know how I should handle him as soon as possible, especially considering the ambiguity of the circumstances.

Interestingly enough, "Graham" deleted the PM which contained the name of the dealer. I did not realize this could be done and did not print it and do not remember it.

Graham,

You need to post the requested photos and name the dealer. If you do not, then we will indeed suspect that something fishy is afoot.

Dave:

Are you confusing it with the other thread on this subject that gives this link to the dealer:
www.target-arms.co.uk/ww2 ??

That thread is closed, so post your thoughts here. The only reason I close it is that we need to consolidate this into one area Big GrinBig Grin

C'mon guys life is too short to waste anymore time on this episode. Graham is up to tricks and nothing more. I wanted to believe him and did give him the benefit of the doubt but he has deleted his email address from his profile and replaced it with NOT GUILTY. He has said that he emailed dave the info on the dealer and that Dave emailed this info to Ken.Ken certainly did not recieve this information and we know from Dave what happened to the information that he susposedly recieved. Those of you who want to blame it on time zones go right ahead but for me enough is enough. Time to move on to the business of discussing helmets. Graham has had his 15 minutes of infamy! cheers and respect to all, Ryan S

He emailed the info to me but then deleted the PM. I did not NOT copy it or pass itr on to anyone. I did not know he could dump the PM ... so my apologies.

I have gone back to his profile and put in his real email address - [email protected]

At this point, I will suspend his membership.

Graham - if you have anything further to add, please send it to me by email. You may be the victim of something or someone, but you nedd you explain youself in depth.

Dave and others, I may be confused here, but...
If a major dealer is associated with the helmets in this thread,
http://daggers.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2583025185/m/1680038814,

doesn't the collecting community have the right to know that dealer's identity at some point?

Graham is either a victim or is himself dirty, but he is a small player. What concerns me is that a big player is associated with these helmets and that person should be exposed.

A policeman once told me:
"90 % of the times is not the lies or their alibi or lack of it, what gives the culprit away, but how they "react" when confronted with the hard facts.
First the subdued half truth and apparent cooperation to create diversion, then they come up with the most incredible and unlikely changing stories trying to make fit the pieces on the puzzle away from them, then finally they get "indignant" and stop cooperating.
...Then you know you've got your man (or woman)."

JohnTB,

The link you posted did not work.

Kassarine and everyone else:

He sent me the name of the dealer and I did not recognize it. I did not know that the PM originator can erase the whole PM, so I did not make a note of the name or print it.

When we insisted on pictures including a specific item to verify he actually had the helmet, I replied to the original PM saying that he really did need those photos.

He killed the PM, erased his name and email address from his profile and did not answer anyone. I put his email address back. His name is Graham Lewer.

I have suspended him and it will stay that way until I have some explanation of what was going on with that original thread and this one.

If anyone knows some facts, please post them or send them to me.

Dave
