Are you happy with them? I would not keep such a pair in my collection.

Everything about these is wrong...the tabs, the tags, the packet...all completely bogus.

Hard to 'read' the responses from learned and respected Collectors????

Is it Collector drooling that is seen?

or is it a "Real" concern with these Tabs???

*** My only comment / concern would be WHY an "A" bottom mark on such fine hand embroidered work.

Help !!!

Dave

Dave..i will give you my opinion, and it will not be from jealousy, or anything close to that emotion.

These tabs are 100% reproductions, they measure up to originals in neither material nor construction. The buckram backing is wrong, the piping is wrong, the RZM tag on the back is bad as the day is long.

The RZM "proof" is bad, they did not look like that at all.

Collar tabs were never packaged in this manner , and i have never in almost 30 years of collecting these items seen a package marked thusly with the runes..

I am sorry, but these are 100% bad. I am curious however to hear in your opinion why you feel these tabs etc are good..

BTW , the a is not the letter you should concern yourself with when looking at the level of effort/construction put into a tab of this rank ..it is the F, they have that right, but that's about it..

Can you explain A and F,can anyone post a 'genuine' pair of these tabs and show us what they as supposed to look like, were every pair packaged the same,it's a minefield.I bow to the learned members'opinion but can you tell from a picture what sort of material is used.If these are indeed fakes then they are beautifully done.I photograhped them through platic box top, would it help to take some more. These cost me a bit of money!I do have a return policy, thats not the point,I am looking to learn, and would appreciate yor help.grip.

... and they are not beautiful done. There are way much better faked quality General tabs out then this pair. First buy a good reference book for this matter and learn and learn when this is really a minefield ... On the WAA forum is nice set offered right now.

Thanks to Robert and Kursk for your updates and clarifications ..... that's what makes this site such a valued & continued learning experience.

We can read all the Books, look at the Photos, but there is nothing like the 'hands on' & 'eye balling' experience, which is shared by the seasoned collectors.

Many of us are 'authorities' or 'experts' (never liked that word much) in complex fields outside of TR Collecting. The collecting of SS Cloth, and all other TR Items is a 'passion' which we share.

We strive to learn from those of you who are so much more knowledgeable, and worldly, in this complex arena. Like all good 'Teachers' - you must be frustrated with all of the 'Students' at times ....... but it is then, when the Joy of Sharing Knowlege becomes the greatest reward.

I thank you....

Dave

Grip,on the 1st page of the SS uniform forum are two topics titled "SS Runes Tabs" and "Skull Tabs".Those 2 topics likely have more info on SS and SS-TV tabs than you will find in any one book.Good Luck,Dave T.

Grip, from which dealer do you buy these items? I noticed some other bad stuff you posted.

Fred,From two different dealers at a big UK show in Birmingham. The Panzer cap seems to be ok,the other and these tabs have been returned and monies refunded. They are dealers from southern England. They stand by their items, but not with my money.
