Gent's
Here is one that recently came in. It started life as a DD,was sent back to the factory for reissue with rough paint and new single decal applied.
It was then painted in the field using typical German Armour colours.
Hope you like it..

Cool helmet, Glenn. The effect is almost like the paint is melting. Is this another local vet buy?
Cheers,
Darryl

Hi Glenn, I don't think that is the helmet Matt had, but he did have one that was very similar. His was actually finger painted. That is a very nice looking helmet both inside and out. Larry

Yeah, I believe that. It looks real as hell. That's a great-looking camo, too. I'm pretty comfortable with this colorings and strokes. I thought Matt was a real nice guy to you, Glen! Shu

I don't quite understand why I have sold some helmets in the past either. It seemed like a good idea at the time though. As they say, hindsight is always 20/20.
Cheers,
Darryl

Thanks guy's
I am not sure if it was finger painted or not as there are brush strokes in some of the paint or perhaps it is from using a rag to apply the paint, could very well be though,I never thought of that.
With the prices these days it is real hard to keep everything.
It is indeed a Q.

Sorry Guys, Matt is right, that is the helmet. I looked at my files and found pictures when I owned it for a period of time. Larry

Feldwebl;
If you place your fingers in the front of the helmet and draw your fingers down you can see the natural way the paint was "finger painted". Its been awhile since I've seen it, but isnt there a trace of a national shield? Great helmet what was I thinkin.

Hi Jerry,
You can indeed see a small portion of the red in the shield. It was reissued at some point.

sometimes you make a decision to sell something, (probably because raising some cash, and a higer quality item sells better) and then u start to miss it. But this one seems to have been in a circle maybe it comes back to Matt, maybe not

The very unusual camo pattern makes this terrific helmet quite desirable to advanced collectors. Cody

Wow, seeing this helmet sure makes me wonder why I ever sold it.
All I can say is I only have about 30 camo helmets now and this one would be in the middle.
It now becomes an emotional experience to let anything go.

" an emotional experiance" is right. last time I sold something out of the collection I cryed like a baby at the post office as I was sending it away. After I had paid the shipping, the post master had to pry the box out of my hands.
Truely a great and interesting helmet Glen. Congrats.
