Are you sure? Google C.Louis Weber Hanover and I get alot of Third Reich Results. For instance He is listed as a hat maker here -

http://coiffures.aceboard.fr/284085-2916-1592-0-INDEX-MAKERS-DISTRIBUTORS.htm

I know they fake tons of SS Uniforms. But this dealer mostly sells jewlery and knows nothing about TR militaria. He said they came from a friend he knew who traveled europe collecting things to sell. Sadly she passed away and he purchased items from her estate. They were the only military items besides some US medals in his store. I know this dosent mean much but WStill, these pants have serious mothing and I dont think The East Germans even use black breeches because of WW2 and the SS.
Thanks for your help.

Here is a tunic

http://www.aboutww2militaria.com/index.html?ger_uniforms.htm

description to look for

3 Reich officers tunic in rank of Hauptmann, 85 Infantry regiment

3 Reich pre-war made officers tunic in rank of Hauptmann of a 85 Infantry regiment. Inside pocket has a label with date 2.Mai.38, number 5667. and owner's name Gassner. The factory of C.Louis Weber in both labels. The tunic has a lot of award loops. 2 original award ribbons are still attached to the tunic, and also the Krim shield. All insignia are period attached and has not been replaced. A very attractive officer's tunic with the traces of use. Size is medium and can be easily fit to mannequin. The tunic has a small moth damages, and a most bigger one is underneath of collar, and not a visible from outside look.

Both pairs of breeches look like they are private purchase and much better tailored than the RZMs, I would say you have done very well at that price! Smile

I DO NOT SEE ANYTHING EXCEPT THE COLOR OF THE BREECHES THAT WOULD INDICATE THEY ARE MILITARY. THEY ARE LIKELY RIDING BREECHES MANUFACTURED FOR CIVIIAN USE, NOT MILITARY OR PARAMILITARY.

I am sure Hooper is well aware of the LW not being under the RZM...

I think all he was saying is that the quality level of the pants shown was much higher than those made to RZM specs.

If they were period used, they could also have been NSKK.

But heck for the money, I'd put them on a mannequin.

Thanks for the replies!
I might be wrong but last night I was reading the Osprey SA book and it said that the Moterised SA (I think) Wore Black or Navy Blue Breeches. Mabey these are for them? I found them on a cloths rack 1/2 price off for halloween mixed in with vintage dresses shirts skirts..ect. Also there are about 6 or 7 long john shirts feldgrau with metal buttons going about 6 inches down the front. They look like the german button up shirts were. Does any body know what german long john shirts looked like? I can get them for $5.00 a piece until november then they go back up to 10.00 a piece (but if they are german I stll think its a good deal) none have markings except one had a small crown inkstamp on the front near buttons. buttons are metal 2 holed like those on the back of m43 trousers (I think) also a couple of german dress shirts (tags in german) no RZM though, these also button only half way. Should I get them too?
The funny thing about this place is that he also has a 1933 (I think) Tinnie $75.00 I wouldnt buy it at that price though, mabey 10.00-15.00, goes to show some people even at this day dont know what they have, and a good deal is still to be had. But be carefull Ive gone for good deals in the past and got ****ered in in the long run with fakes.

Thanks for all your help. Id like to trade these if anyone is interested.Looking for an SS EM Buckle or mabey something else let me know.

Thanks
Ray
