Very nice Boker KS, tell me is that the early or later logo? Main reason i ask is that the scabbard appears to have the mat finsih without laquer, which i have been led to beleive is on the "art deco" logo models. JR you own more Bokers than the NSDAP - does this concur?

I've got a question concerning "Bokers" in general. After reading the SS Dagger forum for the past couple years, it seems to me that there are more clean Bokers shown than any of the other Maker's Marks. Is there a reason for this, were some factory stock that was never issued and liberated after the war? Regarding the Boker logo, which ones are more sought after? I've got a nice clean one also. Thanks! Robert

Robert, the early logo with the scribbling on the blade. I've heard they can fetch as much as $25,000.00 in pristine condition. Tim ----->>>

Someone must have liked JR's Boker... It's gone now! The value of any object is set by the person who really wants it.

JR,
There was no need to pull ads and go hide in the bunker. You are amoung reasonable, well-meaning friends here, so there is no need to be shy or politically correct. Sell me the four Bokers and no one need get hurt.
And don't forget the group discount please.

One thing that I do know is that recently there have been a lot of pointed comments made in various recent threads including this one. If you don't like JR's price, then don't buy his dagger. Feel free to say that you think it is overpriced, but don't do it in a way that is calculated to insult. Here is part of the Code of Conduct: Dave there was no malice or Trolling intended when I started this post. Like I stated I was simply surprised at what the price for a 33 ss was selling for. I did not mention any names nor did I mention whether I agreed with the price or not. If someones willing to pay $10,000 for one of these thats thier buisness. I did not calculate to insult anyone!

Hi Reds not wishing to fan the fire here but your initial thread was more than that. " I know I have had a few cold ones but....am I halucinating?" It was a comment on the perceived (yours) absurdity of the high asking price as opposed to a generalization of what price these daggers are now bringing. If the piece had sold at the time you made the comment your follow up would be correct. The piece didn't sell so the statement that these daggers are now bringing these prices is incorrect. Apologies are fine but stand by what you posted in print. It is what it is and is plain for all to see.Just a friendly observation. cheers, Ryan

Ryan, Your observation is just that "your observation". I never apologised for anything because there is nothing to apologise for. Yes I had a few and yes was I hallucinating because I've never saw a 33 ss go for $6,500.00 and I still stand by that. Again I never calculated to insult anyone nor did I comment on the absurdity of the price, that was your perceived comment. I simply wondered what others thought of the spike in prices nothing more. Regards

Hi Reds I hear yah but did the dagger even sell (or go for) $6500.00 as you say? There are guys on here that might have daggers or other militaria that they wouldn't part with for anything but ridiculous sums because they either are attached to them or they are in such outstanding condition that they are not upgradeable. I think that is the case here. The market is established by prices realized and not by "asking prices" Also just because you and I have not seen a similiar conditioned dagger sell for this sum does not mean that they haven't. We are not privy to all sales and prices received. That was all that I was saying. cheers and regards, Ryan
