Hello, I am a new one here and a little bit shy. However, I'm very curious to collect your opinions are regarding to this grip. How do you find it ? What kind of wood have I expected to get ? Should it be only "dark" wood ? Eagle and runes ?
Thank you in advance. Alex.

That grip looks good to me. They came if a varity of woods. The most desirable is ebony. Not all were that dark. Some of them are dark brown/black/ Some of the more experienced can give more info.
Thanks, Blademan

I agree with Blademan. The grip looks okay. The earlier ones were mostly of ebony. Later ones, because of supply and demand, were often made of other woods dyed black. Also, some of the ebony grips were dyed black, in order to give them a uniform appearance.

Good Luck. Alex.

Nut looks fine to me. The lower guard tang hole seems excessivly large for a typical tang. I have seen that size before and think it unusual. Poor workmanship, played with??? I think they are period guard though.
Thanks, Blademan

The guards appear to be plated? Many of them are haphazardly finished without regard to an exact or even close fit, especially later in the "RZM" period. They look period to me, also. Do you have the blade?

Hello. Thanks again for your positive comments. Unfortunately, there are no blade rather a scabbard too. However, there are a few of the different Grips more I'd like to share with you. So, the second is "empty" SS-grip.
Good Luck. Alex.
Ups, it looks to me there are not many space to go on into this thread ? and I'm not allowed to edit or delete my own posts ??? will try to start a new thread.

Alex, you can edit your posts but only in the first 45 minutes, then it's there for good unless Admin or a Moderator steps in.
You can keep adding to this thread. Lately we've had some problems with disc quota space with the website as a whole.
Your next grip, from the 1 photo I can see properly, appears to be original. My guess is that it would be for an RZM model SS. The reason why I think it's for a later model dagger, is due to the contours of the grip.

You will get more comments if you make your photos a bit smaller and adjust the contrast on the grips so the detail is mpre visible.
I'll take off that partial picture above as it shows nothing.

Very interesting... I've seen very similar ones over the last year or so, I'm in 2 minds what to think really. Any chance you can show a picture of yours for a comparison? Did you purchase yours knowing that it was a repro?

Good Luck. Alex.
PS: @ sdp. Thanks for explanation @ Dave Hohaus. Please Do not to be too severe. It's my first steps.
