Lets try this then since the last inquirey got 1 hit. Anyone have a DLV or NSFK pilots dag with no stamps but with MM, cmon someone has to have one here..... This is maybe a question of authenticity that seems to have become hindered from textbooks but Im starting to think all this textbook mumbo jumbo is starting to affect the value of an unstamped example. Is textbook really that important. Thanks for any responses ahead of time , Tiep Wink

Only about half of the NSFK aluminum Helbigs have throat stamps and none of them have K stamps.

This is -supposedly- an early nik / sil hilted SMF. It looks fine but as stated , no K and no throat stamp of any kind. T

Sorry I am ariving at this party so late.
Just my 2 cents:
Houston is correct, the most common DLV/NSFK maker NOT to have the "K" crossguard stamp are the Helbig Aluminum pieces.
Interestingly of the 6 Weyersberg marked examples I have seen NONE had the "K" stamp or any other stamps (throat).
However, all of the Eickhorn pieces that I have seen have had the "K" stamp.
Hope this helps
Johnny
