Does the Dienstalterliste include Norwegian SS officers? If a Norwegian was an officer in 42/43/44 or 45 does he appear in the list with name and number ? If i have the officers name only, is it possible to find him in the list?
Thanks.
Ulf.

Yes, but only if his rank was high enough to make into these lists. The last list I have of all officers is from 1939. If I remember correctly the 1944 list includes Hauptsturmfhrer as the lowest rank. The 1942 list I have is only listing very senior ranks (Standartenfhrer - upwards).
Lykke til!

All SS officers are contained in all pre-war Dienstalterslists.
From 1941 to 1944, lists were seperate for various ranks of officers. For exaple, one list would contain Sturmbannfuhrer and Obersturmbannfuhrer while another would contain Standartenfuhrer and above. And they were staggered throughout the year.
The July 1944 Dienstaltersliste der Waffen-SS contains all ranks from Hauptsturmfuhrer and above but only contains information such as SS number, NSDAP number, DOB and last promotion date. Occasionally unit is listed but no awards.

I aquired an SS Silver lionhead and a Partial Rohm SS which is numbered from a family in Pennsylvania, these pieces were diret bring backs after the war and were together since 35.Now why would the Number off the dagger not be found in the Key...I had it checked and it came back not included.Being an officer in 35 surely the number would be somewhere? Your thoughts.

All ranks were eligible for Rohm daggers - not just officers. I'm not sure about the sword but it may have been acquired separately if it is not numbered like the dagger.
