Howdy all as we have al seen over the last year or so the quality of fakes is becoming better and its easier than ever for new collectors to get caught out. The example below is a current RCEM fake being sold (in large numbers) in Germany. At first looks and if you didnt know what to look for it doesnt look to bad.

but if you are new and dont know what to look for the next 2 pics will show you. The crossgaurd in this pic is the fake. Notice the poor finish and lack of detail.

Is it marked as a PDL on the blade? Not a bad looking repro. I'm sure some of the uninitiated will fall victim to it.

Howdy mate - no the tang is not marked PDL - which is also a give away. From experience most sellers wont take the grips off to show the tang. If i manage to get one i will post it.
