Panzer tabs with skulls, pink or red piping.
Have also seen period photos with just litzen applied from the factory (no piping)

I have an HBT Panzer jacket that has been in my collection for over twenty years. I have no doubt of its originality. It has piped litzen! The collector who owned it for the ten years before me purchased it from the soldier who wore it.
He told me the reason for using litzen, rather than Panzer collar tabs was because the soldier belonged to a tracked tank hunter unit. The eppaulettes do not show the Panzerjager "P", however.
I suspect the only reason piped litzen was used was because the soldier's service pre-dated the unpiped litzen. Use of piped litzen was an unapproved, but not unusual method of denoting length of service.
I have a Jager's M43 that also uses piped litzen, without the dark green backing.
Photos to follow.
David!

Hello Dave & David,
I am talking "applied from the factory" have seen tabs in HBT as well, factory applied.
These HBT wrap-arounds left the factory with no provisions for shoulder straps and were added by the wearer.

Trying to add the photo and keep getting the -
There was an FTP (file transfer) error. The detail is 'Upload to '/testdir/test.txt' failed. Detail: '552 Transfer aborted. Disk quota exceeded ''.
error. Any ideas? I had a look in the computer help forum, and another member mentioned getting this, and it eventually went away.
David!
