From the photos, it does seem like a nice set(although I would need to see a lot more photos/details). General Staff is a very desireable waffenfarbe.
Even if this turns out to be 100%, I would not place a retail value much more than 4500 dollars... even that is a crazy amount of money.
Just my two cents.

Manion's may have turned the corner in so far as offerring repro items but now their expectations are out of whack. All depends upon what is included with the grouping. For this opening bid there had better be quite a bit! cheers, Ryan

Robert,
General Staff Officers wore stripes simular Generals on their trousers. The difference being that General Staff stripes are Carmine.
If these stripes are carmine, they are correct.

Paul is correct, however the color is very hard to determine by the pictures. The piping almost appears to be orange, on the visor, shoulder boards and on the pants. General staff should indeed be a carmine. cheers, Ryan

I would be willing to bet that the insignia is correct. Sometimes I have noticed carmine giving an orangish/red hue in many photographs. It has to do with indoor lighting. Better results would have been seen if the photos were taken outside in the sun. Again, I would need to see a lot more photos before I bought this set, yet from what I can see things look good to me.(except the price!!!)

the piping/waffenfarbe looks to me to be an orange-red on tunic & pants,,,carmine tends to be more reddish-pink/pinkish-red,,,looks like artillery on the boards to me,,,

Hi Bob,
I am not a member of Manions... Do you have access to some close up shots of this uniform?
Regards Paul
