Hi
Can anybody tell me if the 12th SS Hitler youth regiment wore a cufftitle on their tunics or panzer wraps? If so any photo graphic evidence of this cuff title being worn? Reason I have been searching can not find any info .
Thanks Joe Semen

Joe...On page 256 of Blood and Honor (history of the 12 SS panzer Division) there is a photo.

Can you post a picture . I do not own a copy of this book. If anybody else have pictures or info of the title being worn, can you post it as well. I think it would be good reference for everyone.
Thanks Joe Semen

The cufftitle was issued in November 1944 (there are pictures of the ceremony - see Meyer's history of the Division) and the cufftitle was certainly worn. There are images of some prisoners taken in the Bulge wearing teh cufftitle. The Williamson/Mcguirl book on cufftitles has a period photo of a panzer soldier wearing the CT on his wrapper.

At this late point in the war, there were not all that many photos being taken. They were also some of the units that wore lots of camo and they also wore the leather wraps (with no insignia applied )They were also quite fanatical in their defense, and many ended up being totally annihilated. This is partially why the cuff title (and any photos) are quite hard to find.
I think I have the book mentioned, I will see if I can find & post the image.
