Opinion about authenticity please.

"333" on the ring. What's this number? Maker?

What can be the correct price of this EK?

Thanks a lot.

Matarese, 333 by collective consensus is considered to be a modern copy. 333 is not a known maker mark. There are also reported to be 666 marked and unmarked modern copys.

Like stated, that is not a recognized maker. The cross doesn't look all that bad if indeed it's a copy. I would like to see better pics to get a better idea. I have some concerns about the core paint. I'd really like to see a close-up of the center, where the arms come together. This is always helpful.

I am by no means an EK expert. I've got however a decent feeling for them. Try WAF cross forum. Alot of dedicated EK collectors there that can probably give you an accurate idea of what you've got.

Let's be clear! 333 marked crosses are condemned as Repro's by the collecting community. That is what you will hear where ever you ask!

There is no doubt. "333" is not a valid maker. However, I still would like to see close-ups of the area where the arms meet.
My request is not to question the validity of the claim, merely to inspect this particular cross.

I for one, have never had the opportunity to handle one of these. Simply from an educational standpoint, inpsection would be beneficial. I'm not cotending that someone added a MM 333 ring to a valid cross....it could have happened, but I highly doubt it and the odds are nill. To me, this is not a bad looking repro and from these photos, could fool a less exdperienced collector, especially if that ring wasn't marked.

Closer inspection would benefit us all.

I understand the 333 and 666 marked EKII's among others are very well made.
Close ups would be nice. We shall have to wait and see.

Materese,
We'd love to see more photos please. Very good for educational purposes.

Also, can anyone elaborate on these crosses with further detail? I suspect that they are of 3 part construction. They look really well made.

I may have to buy one for inspection purposes.

Thanks for all comment.

I've sell this EK for 65$ & can't do other photos now. I hope it was not an original...

Best regards.
