This is hard to believe, this post has been here over 24 hours and not one post? No thoughts as to where this unit was located? or info as to what type of pennent this is? Is it a brigade, company level, group?

Hi Fritz, It's a great looking pennant. I've just only seen the usual NSKK fender pennant. I'm hoping to learn more too.

Thanks Johann! This is only one the second I've ever seen and the other was an SA but it's been some time. I sure hope someone can tell us something of this type of pennent. You should look at the RLB flag and pole top I just got today in the flag forum to.

Castle, Thanks for the info! It is a pretty nice one, like I said this is only the second one like this I have ever seen, and wasn't to sure of what it really was.

Fritziii, I looked up this type of pennant in Angolia/Littlejohn's book on the NSKK/NSFK.
This would appear to be a Motor Staffel Commanders pennant. Therefore, I/M11 means 1st Motor Squadron (staffel), of Motor standarte 11.
This pennant looks to be the same design and style as one shown in this book on Page 199.
I believe Motor standarte 11 was based in Schwerin, as part of the Ostee Motorgruppe.
Regards Russell
