Save your money. I would not buy that one.

Cheers,

yes i paid 20 quid and its a genuine ss helmet Roll Eyes what a great deal my luck must have been in that day,
i bet your all envious and wish you had one
considering a real one would fetch at least 2000
20 for an m42 helmet with original liner in my eyes is a good deal scrape off the fake runes and there you have it an m42 helmet
im still laughing

Dear Greg,

You asked for thoughts and judgement and you titled your thread 'before i buy'. You've had some feedback when some threads receive none.

Can you post a few pics of the inner markings and the original liner?

Much appreciated,

Davey

Thanks Greg,

You can't go wrong for that money Greg. I like to look at the liners and inners of combat helmets.

I still have my Para helmet and when I think of the places I have been with it, I don't think I will part with it just yet.

Rgds,

Davey

davey i would keep the para helmet
10 years ago you could pick these up for two a penny.nowadays you would not get an un-messed with para helmet for under 2500.they are a very worthwhile investment better interest rate than any bank.
i dream of owning one of these but with a family to support they have to take a back seat.
maybe when im old and retired i will get one Big Grin

It's silly money Greg, really is. I have been collecting for quite a while now and am considering dwindling down some of my items. Not that I've lost interest, not at all, I've enjoyed them and would like someone else to have a shot with them.

I have some nice items for example this set, once belonged to Adolph Galland and is a one off piece rather than something resulting from a factory line.

Stay safe,

Davey
