I have bought this one couple of years ago and i was disapointed, its bad work dispaite the saler use Dons statemant !The ring is much smaller than original, the skull is bady atached and made, the ingraving is also bad, so all in comon totaly bad ring and waste of money!!!

You can do much better if you buy one that was presented here on this forum ( i cant remember his name but i know they are son and father and that they are from U.S )!

I received my repro HR today in the mail.
I did not go with my original choice based upon all the helpful feedback I received here.
My thanks to all!
I went with the place suggested by a couple of members and after seeing the ring in person, I'm glad I did.
Stunning to say the least!

Good morning,

The ring was engraved as I had asked. You can have the COPY if you want but you can also have your own engraving just as long as it is not done to trick anybody. I asked for my name in Polish and my wedding date.
Yes, is done by Chris and his father.

I'm curious about the thirdreich.ca repro Honour ring that was posted from the website.
True, this ring leaves a lot to be desired.

My question is why would Don Boyle say this is the best reproduction Honour ring he's ever seen? Just looking at the repros in his first edition there are a few which look a lot more accurate that the one being discussed.

I was asking my self the very same question after i receve this ring from "Thirdreich.ca" and soo how bad it is made!!!
The ring in question is much smaller ( i am tooking abouth ring size but apiriance ) than original HR and so colled advertised floes which were made by the original SS owner ( that is the site owner statment ) are lafable, the whoule ring is lafable but the price for this ****ty ring is not so lafable, becourse you can buy some original 3 Raich item for that price for your collection insted that crapy ring!

So how did the site owner manage to get Don Boyles blesing its beyond my emagination!?

Chrisis SS Honor Ring is made on it own and it is not copyed from some known original, so that makes it even more exelent in my eyes than if it was simple copy and belive me it woud be much easye for him if he woud chose that way but he didnt and he manage to produce an exelent SS Honor ring and belive me if he woud add a nice inside ingravings his HR woud be even more superior!
The japan fakes ( fake is every item that is produced by copying from the original ) are truly amasing but they are also very diciving for as collectors, if some of as will be fulled by one of so colled japan superfake Honor Rings ( who knows if someone already was ) than we have to be extremly coses and always demande Don Boyles certificate but what will hapend when Don will be gone or stop isuing his certificats, what thane, who will step in to his shoes???

This is a first copy Voss ring. Tokyo military toy shop owner made it. It sold out few years ago. I bought it. It's a best copy I have ever seen. The second cast copy is selling now on Japanese web site.

For a 'daily driver' (occasional hobbyist wearing) that first one is pretty good. Is is not real, they tell you it's not real and it looks close enough.

I own the R. Dolp (that is the name inside) I purchased from Gottlieb a few years back and it is a daily driver and looks totally real except for about ten people in the U.S. that could tell by looking at it on the hand.

Way I see it is this, if you want a repro to wear everyday (well you would never wear a real one while mucking out the pigs or building a wall) then those last two examples shown would be more than adequate, I mean you're hardly likely to get someone coming up to you in the High Street saying 'nice (or crap)SS totenkopf honour ring your wearing there mate Big Grin
You could probably walk round one of the shows wearing one of those and get people looking and maybe wondering Confused
I've toyed with the idea of having a 'wearing one for ages, so you tell my friends. which is the 'best' repro, I do believe some Geezer (in Europe I beliveve) started to turn one out at somthing in excess of $700, then it got slated as no where near worth the money.

Imo, if you're looking at a good repro represntation to wear every day then you dont want to be paying much more that $100/150

I woud like to add something regarding the new Honor rings ( fakes ), if you wont to have an exelent copy that it looks in almoust every way as an original Honor ring than you will also have to pay little more than 100$ ( i belive you have two options to buy an extraordinary copy of Honor ring, one is from US / Chris and another one is from Japan / Black Jacks frend ), becourse they are realy god and i belive they are worth every penny! You have to understand ( i know that from personal expirinace when i was truying with help from my local yuler to make my self a god copy of HR for daily weare ) that to produce a god copy takes a lott of work and you cant yust simply make a mold from an original and start to pup them out, this way it will be much smaller and not so sharp in details as an original but steal o.k for people who dasent wont to spent more than 50$ for a copy of HR but if you wont to make a new Honor ring that apirs like an original made by Otto Gahr than first you nead real skills and god original HR yust for observation and to compare the new HR with original, that is what you nead to make a beoutifull HR and if you wont than to add the inside ingraving that will look clouse to original Gahr ingraving tehnic, to do that you will nead a realy god ingraver ( old tehnic and not some sort of laser ingraving )and now you will have a new HR that is worth buying, but even if it will be nice it wont full any real SS regalia collector, so noone shud be panic becourse of thouse so colled super fakes, we have soon determine what was wrong with them when they start to apir all over the world, even when they truy to wore them up they were steal found out as fakes!!!
But that was another story and it have nothing to do with buying an exelent reproduction SS Honor ring for daily weare or simply to spice up your SS collection ( if you dont wont to spend all that hard earn money for original one )!!!

I have bought mine new Honor ring for daily weare from Chris and i am more than satisfayed with his work and when i compare it to my original HR i must say that it sure have Otto Gahrs tuch ( the same size, out side ingraving and the moust important think the skull is near perfect ), which i cant say for other bad fakes that are flouting around the internet market for a few bucks!!!

Evgeniy. Here is height of band. Okay?

Kingtiger. Good ring.! My copy ring isn't real of skull but the detail ,oak , rune of band is very sharp. The contraction of size doesnt know both you and my ring by photo. But your ring is like real.

The 2 repros posted are very impressive, especially the first Vass one. You'll be happy to know that you'll have a third one to pick from, as the ring project my brother started years ago is near completion. I was forced to take over for him, as he was physically unable to do it. Delay was due to making a new skull before casting the band, and trouble finding a reliable caster. The band "Master" is due back within 2 to 3 weeks, and I will post pics IMMEDIATELY when it arrives. There is a waiting list of 34 people currently. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, PM me with contact info. These will be REALLY nice, and available in a few different sizes. They will ALL have the same inscription. Time to make some rings !!!
