Dear all,

Can anyone help me establish if the attached officers bullion cufftitle is genuine or not.
Don't worry I'm expecting the worst and have had some respected expert opinions casting some doubt but no one can absolutely say if it is a copy. Any views would be appreciated.

I know these were made and distributed but I've never seen one specifically for an officer like this. That is not to say they weren't privately tailor made; however, saying that, I don't like the way this one is made, especially the lettering itself... this is a 'gut feel' you understand, but IMHO, if I encountered this at a militaria show, I would walk passed it.

Also, if you want an unbiased opinion, you shouldn't state that others have expressed doubts. Now you'll have other people just pile on. Make these people think about it and those with definite knowledge and experience will speak up.

No, afraid my opinion is still against this piece; the picture of the back reinforcing that opinion. Sorry...

Its a reproduction cuff title. Not because of the backing but because of the wrong weave pattern of the back base cloth of the band. With that said the backing is a bit too large is size but otherwise real cuffs exists with this kind of backing cloth.
