I'm new to the forum and just recently listed an early SS dagger that I acquired from a vet's estate. These were "trinkets" brought back by a member of the recon battalion of the 8th Armored Division. The daggers were a big surprise since they were listed as "German knives"...imagine my surprise!! Not to mention that they both came with hangers. I have no doubts on it but am open to any opinions/comments from others. I need to get this listed on my insurance policy so if you guys have an idea of replacement cost I'd appreciate it. Please check out all the photos and feel free to comment. Any suggestions on how to take better photos are also welcomed. Thanks!

No doubts for me a beauty rarely do you see the blue remaining on the scabbard - top shelf hewer. Not too familiar with hanger values-I would say at least 3k plus with the condition of this.

Toms got it.You dont hardly see them like than anymore.Sill has a ton of lacquer on it.
Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. And remember the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Thanks Guys. It was truly one of those "I can't believe it" finds. Tiep, not for sale though I may change my mind with a new little guy on the way! Don't want to get in trouble here but did want to show some of my things as there are so many great contributors here. I've got a few others I may try to put up but these are some of my best. Thanks again guys!

Thanks Tiep. Only a couple of weeks away. I sure hope he enjoys my hobby as he grows. He will be able to enjoy a nice collection and a great platform for him to advance to even better items. If he takes after his mother he'll think I'm crazy and sell it all the first chance he gets (hopefully after I'm long gone).
