Geoff,
Buchel is very rare in a 2nd Luft dagger as the brothers have said. I've seen one or two of these but with white grips, but this one is in suer shape and with a nice, pleasing orange grip. This piece is a keeper for sure, congrats.

Tony A Buchel lionhead would definitely fall into the "not-often-seen" category.  Please start a new thread under German Swords with some pictures. Would be interesting and worthwhile. Thanks. Geoff- Nice luft. Congrats.
