I want to begin a new topic being that it is a bit away from our usual applications and uses of Ren wax of which I am a strong advocate.
Has anyone ever had any experience or heard of any situations with Ren wax and oil paintings?
Being what it is, I certainly want to try to ascertain any results or ideas prior to eradicating my Monet.
Perhaps my inquirey would be better directed to the manufacturers of Ren wax or the British museum who strongly endorses the product however and in any event, any help or knowledge will be greatly appreciated.

John: I have heard it stated but don't have any proof the the Mona Lisa which is on display in the Lourve is protected with a coat of Ren-Wax.  Having said that; I just hope it keeps my less valuable items in good shape!   Jim

This stuff has only been around for forty years so nobody really knows it's long term effects. All of the items we love are anywhere from 50 to 200 years old and have made it this far without any wax. Be careful with ths stuff..
