Amazing realistic details. Where did you finally find it? Can you tell me what the letters are about above the Allach trademark? Thanks

Hi Dean
The letters are for Theodore Krner, he was the artist who designed this pattern. I managed to get it from another collector over here.
Thanks
Gary

Gary, What a great example and I like it! From his majestic posture, precise muscular definition, down to the smallest detail from the tips of his ears to his paws! Thanks for showing it.

Gary, A figure like this is well worth the wait. Over the past few years I've looked at quite a few porcelain pooches and this has to be one of the finest canine renderings out there, bar none. I hope your new shepherd will bring you years of enjoyment and much continued good luck! Bill

That is a tough porcelain to find. It is my favorite piece among my small Allach collection. The details are trully amazing. I have heard that Karner used Blondie Hitler's dog as a model for the making this allach ? I don't know though if this story is true or not.

I was hoping it would be the Schferhund, and you didn't disappoint. Congratulations; lovely piece and a very typical pose for them. Ours sits at the top of the stairs with his paws crossed like that. - Bob

Fantastic piece Gaz! This is another removed from circualtion which makes them all, like all these pieces, even harder to find. You should see the one my good friend Thorsten has in his collection. He is a member here and he has the large version. He brought it around to my home one evening and I have a photo of myself with it, will dig it out. We only lived a few miles apart, he was on the other side of Munster town. I would feed him when he was hungry. He is always hungry and he will tell you that himself There's another Professor Theodor Karner piece on Ebay that I have my eye on..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALLACH-MAKER-THEODOR-KARNER-PORCE..._trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Erich,
Your Foxl is another great dog-study, it would make for a great companion-piece to Gary's shepherd.
Davey,
For a second there I thought that eBay deer was the work of Willi Mnch-Khe, a very talented contemporary of Professor Krner. Willi did a similar deer fawn that's a 'spittin-image' of that one, except for the base, his is free-standing. Khe's example is very delicately and perfectly balanced on those long, wobbly fawn legs.
Please let us know if you get it, I truly hope you do. Best of luck!
Bill
