I've had few emails asking me about a WestWall/Front Skull ring that's been making the rounds lately.. This ring just started coming around the last year or so. They are always in the same condition,,sometimes from West Europe, sometimes East..
Someone has some nice tooling/ mold.. Please check these 2 photos.. sometimes different sellers. 2 different rings...Same skull [a good pattern skull by the way!]... They look good but they are both fakes/fantasies...
*Be extra careful now,,these crooks read all these forums,,next we'll start seeing heavy worn rings, or dug examples from Stalingrad! Keep the photos in your files and mark: 'Stay Away' !
Guys,,please feel free to add on any new fakes that you catch on the auction sites,,thanks , G.

,,thanks G. I recently inquired as to a very similar ring on EvilBay. (there are several band variations, same skull, my guess same maker?) The seller insisted it was period. If I didn't have an example of this very style, he would probably have my $$$ and i would have $1.50 worth of .800. Shields up! Paul

Mann, the one you show is a good known WW2 German pattern,,,but is it a reproduction? - there are a couple things I see even from the bad photo I don't like,,you'd need better/more photos.. The photo looks familiar,,maybe another member had better photos and will discuss here..,G.

,,that was part of the problem. Fuzzy and small. The ring is scary convincing at first glance. Your post reinforces my suspicions that someone is using a good mold. The thick band and the proof mark .800, for me, immediate red flags. Wonder if we'll see this type skull on an honor ring band next? cheers, Paul ,,mine, .835, (of course) close-up points of interest: as opposed to: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...me=ADME:B:EF:US:1123

yeah, his 'grill' doesn't look so good ,, also, see that 'dot' lower left front of jaw on your first photo?,,a no-no. Always do a quick check. See what other items the seller has. Most repros?, and a questionable ring? usually its bad too.
