Hi All, Not sure if this is the right section of this forum for enamel signs, so here goes! What would an enamel sign like this worth? Thanks in advance, Bill Rannow Minneapolis Minnesota Fine Japanese Swords & Antiques www.artswords.com AND Quality WWII German Militaria www.collectorsmilitaria.com

There was someone that made many of the signs in enamel in the 1970s. They were all uncharacteristically flat, and had a much thinner coating of enamel on them than compared to the originals.
The Fallschirmjager Amt was one was one of their designs, they also had another that had an enamel metal steak to stick in the ground.
This may have also been the source for the mysterious enamel "Org Todt" gorgets as well.
I have also seen police design as well.
Ask some of the "older" dealers, they may know exactly where they came from.
But IMO not a period piece.

THE SIGNS AND ORG TODT GORGETS ALL SHOWED UP IN THE EARLY 1970'S AS MR. JERRY MENTIONED. THEY WERE MADE TO ORDER BY A WELL KNOWN ENGLISH DEALER WHO HAD A REPUTATION OF DEALING IN QUESTIONABLE ITEMS. THERE WERE ALSO ENAMELD FELDGENDARMERIE GORGETS THAT WERE PRODUCED AT THE SAME TIME. I HAVE SEEN A PERIOD PHOTOGRAPH OF AN ENAMELED ORG TODT GORGET BEING WORN. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE, THAT WAS THE ONLY ENAMELED GORGET PRODUCED. BOB
