Hello Gentleman, I picked this up yesterday at gun show. I have been looking for one of these for sometime. And you will see why after a few pics. This one has crown N proofs and a 90 degrees safty position. I guess around 1936 it may have been made. I will check on that later. And you guys thought this was going to be just and old bayo Steve,

Steve,
SUPER nice Walther, it looks great with that RFV bayonet too. Congrats man, a stellar acquisition!

Thanks, Billy. I don't believe the dealer knew what he had. There was nothing on his pricetag that even mentioned RFV. Nor did he point it out at any time as something of a rarity factor affecting price. As far as the holster, I don't even know if that's a legit Walther holster. There isn't a mark on it. I am also looking for a DRP to go with some of the postal bayonets. The ones that are known are PPK version and very scarce. I may find one by chance as I do some of the others, last year I found a nice military marked S/42 police Luger in about 98% condition. Some of these marked pistols are very interesting, I feel. One of our members here Dow has done some incredible work putting unit-marked imperial Lugers with unit-marked bayonets. And boy, he's got them real close My hat's off to him, it's a lot of work looking for those. Steve

Way to go, Steve!
The two go really well together.
