At the SOS a couple of Russian "Bulk Buyers" usually pile us a bunch under the table. This SOS was no exception. During a drop-off (on the cement) I noticed a SS dagger.

Looking original with the vertical hanger I asked where did he find this one? Reply: "On table".

Then he asks me if it was a "Good Deal for $2,000 ?".

As I pull out the blade for a look I get distracted by some questions on an items on the table....
But I glance and see the blade seems OK with plenty of crossgrain left..

While holding the dagger motto up I finally answer the questions and then flip it over to check the reverse and the maker...

I see it's a Pack and I say again..."Where did you find this?" Reply: "On table"

While shaking my head and wondering how these guys scored a dagger like this on a table, JR walks by.
I ask him "did you see this what the Russian's picked up for 2K?", as I hand him this dagger.
JR then looks and the maker and say: "Where did they find this"? Roll Eyes My Reply...Yep you guys got it.... Big Grin "On a table".

How about doing the good deed of the century, and pass it along to me for what you paid, plus a small profit?....I'll never be able to afford one, otherwise.....You'll be legendary for your kindness, and people will tell the story, forever...Smile

The rest of the day I can't get over that dagger. I keep reaching down into the growing pile on the floor and and checking it out. Telling myself this one is every bit as "tight" as my Boker and perhaps even tighter.

Later that evening at the BAR at the Hotel with some of the "boys" JR tells me "You should really call in a marker and make them a deal on that one for your collection". "You don't find e-packs too often".

Well the next morning I had to make a deal...
What would it take? Roll Eyes

Well it took a "run-of-the-mill" SS dagger and a Eick 2nd Navy and .... I got it! Razz

A Big THANK YOU to JR!

Serge!
I like it when people refer to my "specialty" as being "everything". Big Grin
It makes me feel accomplished... Maybe I should put that on my business card!

Johnny, Specializing in: Damn near everything. Big Grin

Anyway, the show was fun and congrats on the SS dagger! These deals are getting tougher and tougher to find.
Good hunting,
Johnny
