I'm thinking on shufflling a few piece's in my collection. I had this one for awhile and was wondering what the value might be. I hate to low ball my items. Any help would be greatly appreacaited. Does the gilt on the pommel look period. It seems to be a text book WKC.

Looks like a nice piece. The market is kind of slow and has been for a while. What you could market for to another collector bears no relation to the prices you will still see tagged on the dealer sites (and they are not moving much product). I`m trying to be objective here (not a fan of WKC stuff)& to be honest I think $650 is about the mark. It`s a buyers market and there is no shortage of good stuff on offer. I see people trying to get what they think something is worth but unless it is outstanding it hangs unless the price is right.

The gilt looks period to me

Have to admit the slightly lighter spot on the front lower grip nodule looking area is interesting as far as each piece being made by hand.

WKC 2nd models are one of my favorites i have owned more than a couple. A few close up pictures of the blade would help to evaulate a good price, is there any crossgrain left. The price is all in the blade. The pommel swas gilding looks like WKC and i have seen this grip to ferrule fit before (i.e overhang look) on untouched daggers not often but they are out there.
