Metal tag of the place in Berlin that put this bar together . From this I assume the owner was a police man in Berlin ; - also since the Summer Olympics took place there .

At the same time I got this 5 place medal bar. Looks like it was a WWI veteran that got the war service cross without swords in WWII for his work in the support of the war effort.
He may have helped to built some U-boats in Hamburg , since the tag in the back lists a place in Hamburg!

..Ups ...I read that tag wrong !, since it says Koeln . So , he may have worked in an ammo factory or alike in Koeln .

While I was posted in Germany I talked with a collector about the Olympic medal on a medal barr and he said that every polieman who worked the Olympics was awarded this medal. Jim
